April 7, 2020:

Pasadena and Lake Havasu City, AZ Branches Re-Opened By Appointment Only

The Pasadena and Lake Havasu City, AZ branches will open starting this week By Appointment Only. LA and Norwalk branches remain temporarily closed due to low staffing levels. We will notify you when we determine that they can be re-opened.

Making an Appointment & Current Branch Services:

  • In order to visit a branch, you must first Make a Branch Appointment with our online form (or by calling 1-800-894-1200).
  • Appointments cannot be made the same day, and we will be limiting how far in the future you may be able to make an appointment.
  • Services available will be limited in-person. We will not be accepting loan or membership applications in person, those can be completed online.

Required Items to Bring When Visiting a Branch:

  • Members are required to wear a non-medical cloth face covering in order to conduct their appointment in person.
  • Members will also be required to show a Photo ID (Driver's License or Passport) at the branch door.
  • We will not be able to provide gloves to members, however please bring gloves if you have them and need to make a PIN or ATM transaction.
  • We are still practicing social distancing, so even if you have an appointment, you may still be asked to wait outside the branch.

Branch Operating Hours:

  • We will be open By Appointment Only:
    • Monday through Thursday: 10:00am-4:30pm PT
    • Friday: 10:00am-5:00pm PT.

March 30, 2020:

Norwalk Branch Closure - COVID-19 Update

LA Financial Credit Union was informed on March 25, 2020 that a branch employee stayed home sick that day with symptoms potentially of COVID-19.

We immediately closed all branches on March 26, 2020, upon receiving this information, in an abundance of caution for our members, staff, and our communities. That employee did later test positive for COVID-19. ​

We are following Centers for Disease Control (CDC) guidelines and have deep-cleaned the branch. No other known cases have been reported by branch staff or other members at this time. 

We will notify members when we decide to reopen the branch at a later date.




March 26, 2020:

All Branch Locations Closed

We've been closely monitoring the situation with COVID-19 and we have decided out of an abundance of caution for you, our staff, and our community to temporarily close our CA branches effective Thursday, March 26, 2020. Our Havasu, AZ branch will be closed effective Friday, March 27, 2020. This is a temporary closure. We will let you know when we reopen branch locations and will continue to communicate via email and our website with the latest updates.

Please help us and your fellow members at this time by first attempting to conduct your business online whenever possible.

We are experiencing high call volumes, and almost all financial transactions and loan applications can be completed online.

March 24, 2020:

Pasadena Branch Closure

We apologize for the inconvenience, the Pasadena branch is temporarily closed. LA Financial Credit Union was informed on March 23, 2020 that a member who visited the Pasadena branch on March 9, 2020 later tested positive for COVID-19. We immediately closed this location upon receiving this information. We are following Centers for Disease Control (CDC) guidelines and have deep-cleaned the branch. No other known cases have been reported by branch staff or other members at this time. Due to also being short staffed at this time, the Pasadena branch remains temporarily closed. If our staffing situation changes, we may choose to re-open the branch at a later date.

Please help us and your fellow members at this time by first attempting to conduct your business online if at all possible. We are experiencing high call volumes, and almost all financial transactions and loan applications can be completed online.

COVID-19 Health and Safety Update from LA Financial Credit Union

Your health and safety, as well as that of our credit union employees, continues to be our our utmost concern. We are actively monitoring the situation with COVID-19 and are following recommendations from the Centers of Disease Control (CDC) as they change. While our branches will remain open at this time, we ask that you only visit our branch locations if there is no other possible way to complete your transactions. Almost all financial transactions can be completed online or by phone. Ask a Member Services Representative how to access online or mobile banking if you have not yet created an account. Thank you for your understanding and for helping our community by practicing social distancing at this time.

Headquarters, Branches & ATMs
At this time, all open branches are maintaining regular business hours. Please see above updates for any temporary closures. In the event we have to temporarily close a branch, we will let you know which branches you can access and if there are any changes to operating hours.

We are also following social-distancing guidelines as outlined by Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA), including eliminating handshaking.

You can conduct almost all banking services and transactions via phone, online and/or mobile banking. We highly recommend using these banking channels to conduct your financial transactions during this time.

  • Use any of our 30,000 free CO-OP ATMs. Simply check, “Surcharge Free ATMs,” and find a location near you.
  • Call our Contact Center at: 1-800-894-1200. Contact Center hours are: Monday – Thursday, 8am – 5pm PT, and Friday 8am – 6pm PT.

We understand that there may be concerns right now due to market volatility caused by COVID-19 and we want you to rest assured that your money is safe. LA Financial Credit Union is a financially sound and strong institution. Deposits up to $250,000 (per depositor and per ownership category) are insured by the National Credit Union Association (NCUA). Business Continuity Preparedness
LA Financial Credit Union also actively reviews, exercises, and has ready a Business Continuity Plan to continue operations and ensure critical services remain available for members.

Steps You Can Take

  • Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and hot water for 30 seconds before and after any money, card or ATM transactions
  • Conduct financial activities online or by phone (this includes applying for loans)
  • Be wary of potential scams. If anyone contacts you asking for personal information and claiming to be from your financial institution, do not share any of your account or personal information (including social security number or passwords). Instead, call us at: 1-800-894-1200 to confirm if it was a legitimate call.
