Giving Back To Our Communities
We help Beauty 2 The Streetz Founder bring self-care To LA's homeless with a surprise donation!
We made a surprise donation to the non-profit organization Beauty 2 the Streetz on The Rachael Ray Show today! Rachel Ray surprised Beauty 2 the Streetz founder Shirley Raines with a check for $10,000, courtesy of LA Financial Credit Union, during the season 16 premiere of The Rachel Ray Show, which aired on September 13, 2021. You can view a clip of the show and read more about the surprise here on RachelRayShow.com.
We hope this can help continue Shirley’s mission of helping those in need. For the past six years, Shirley Raines has been helping to keep Skid Row’s residents fed and cared for. Her organization, Beauty 2 the Streetz, has become a beacon of light for members of the community in Downtown Los Angeles. She drives from Long Beach to provide food, clothing, hair and makeup services, and health and hygiene items to thousands. Rain or shine, Shirley will show up for the members of this community because she wants to recognize that the lack of a home does not mean a lack of humanity. Beauty 2 The Streetz aims to serve the homeless by providing necessities alongside the things that make us feel inherently human
Shirley’s mission is to continue feeding and nurturing as many homeless individuals as possible, both during this pandemic and beyond. As a credit union, we share the same mission in giving back to our communities, and wanted to contribute to this wonderful local organization.
